UK agrees to give France £480m

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron have struck a deal to tackle small boat Channel crossings, with Britain agreeing to pay-out £480m over the next three years. The first Anglo-French summit to be held for five years, this was seen as a turning point in relations post-Brexit, with both leaders demonstrating their close bond.
