Canada News

At a news briefing in Ottawa on Thursday, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault announced up to $250 million over four years for measures to make home heating more affordable for families across the country through the Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF). Approximately $120 million — or half of the overall funding — will be earmarked for people in Atlantic Canadian provinces, where using oil for home heating is much more common.
