Canadians tired of ‘tip-flation,’ support higher wages for servers, poll suggests

A new poll by the Angus Reid Institute suggests Canadians would rather see servers paid more and get rid of tipping altogether. Dawn Chapman, the owner of Toronto’s Lazy Daisy Cafe, says she thinks it boils down to how much servers are being paid. ‘We could cut out tips no problem, but we’d have to increase the minimum wage,’ she said.
