Military lawyer Glenn Kolomeitz says the treaty signed between Australia and Japan is a very significant agreement.
“Japan’s only other strategic partnership of this nature is with the US. This is our only partnership of this nature,” Mr Kolomeitz told Sky News Australia.
“This arrangement in the current strategic climate is very important.”
